Begin with your actual investment circumstances
Explain whether the company already exists, what activity it carries out, your shareholding and your role. Indonesian immigration publishes investor visa categories in the official eVisa portal. Conditions vary by category: a company formation requirement is not a substitute for an immigration requirement.
Documents to discuss
- Personal identity and passport validity required by the selected category.
- Company establishment documents, registration and the relevant business identification or licences.
- Evidence of shareholding and the applicant’s actual role.
- Financial or other supporting evidence requested for the selected application.
The official category determines the full document list. Do not use one capital or shareholding figure as a universal rule for every investor route.
Investor KITAS versus employment
An investor designation does not authorise every job. The activities permitted by the issued category, company authorisations and any employment requirements must be checked before work starts. Choose the route around your actual activities rather than duration or price alone.
Renewal and continuing responsibilities
If you already hold a permit, mention its expiry and any changes in company ownership, role or activity. Renewal depends on continuing eligibility and the current requirements. Permanent residence is a separate assessment and does not follow automatically for all investors.
Agree the assistance and fees
Ask for a quotation separating immigration charges, document review, application support, follow-up and any company formation work. The competent authorities determine the decision and processing time. Starting a PT PMA does not itself grant investor residence.
